Description

ebay template 1943 Press Photo Westinghouse employee insulates exposed metal parts at OH plant This is an original press photo. Cleveland, Ohio -- The "whipped cream" which this worker is pouring actually is a cement-like solution which protects these sockets for industrial lighting systems from breakdowns caused by short circuits. The "cream" is used to insulate screw-heads and other exposed metal parts from the flow of electric current, which might otherwise take an erratic course. These sockets are assembled at the Cleveland Lighting Division of the Westinghouse Electric and Manufacturing Company. Photo measures 8.25 x 10.25inches. Photo is dated 10-17-1943. Part Number: neb61996 Please look at the images below carefully to determine the condition of this vintage photograph, as it may not be in perfect condition. It may contain wrinkles, cracks, and possibly even tears due to its age and how it was handled before it got to us. A scanner may see a photograph differently than human eyes will, so it is possible that the actual photograph may be slightly darker or lighter in person.
